KI(N) AS EXODUS. SUBVERTING THE ART & SCIENCE CANON
What was the Face you had before you were born?
Jatun Risba’s paper KI(N) AS EXODUS. SUBVERTING THE ART & SCIENCE CANON has been published in the online journal [Verso Doxa]: a publication for art theory, critical thought, and philosophy, produced by the .abeceda Institute.
The paper offers an insight into the power & potentiality (Latin potentia) of a language of kinship based on the use of alternative—postgender, postspecies, posthuman—pronouns ki and kin. It also includes some unpublished Risba's photos and artworks.
It was primarily this piece of writing which originated a perspective of planetary entanglement, trans-species reciprocity and interdependence that has majorly inspired Risba's practice since the start of the global pandemics, in March 2020.
