EUROPA (2025)
"Now what? Recollect yourself (heal, learn and transform) and then put the experience in service of others."
The video Europa is an evolution of a photographic project of the same name, created by authors Risba & Livera in early 2023. By incorporating the re-enactment practices of Photo-Therapy (Martin 2009; Spence 1986) into the video-making process, the moving images serve as tools to re-engage with and transform traumatic personal experiences and collective imaginaries. This approach seeks to reclaim authorship and responsibility for our myths, histories, and actions.
