The album 'Songs of Realisation of Blood and Chlorophyll' contains 4 vocal improvisations on menstruation and 4 vocal improvisations on chlorophyll. It was produced as part of Risba’s art research on the similarities between blood and chlorophyll—commissioned by Schmiede Akademie Hallein 2023—which will be published in the upcoming YnselBook #6 Blood.
This album promotes the value of non-conceptual expression, performance and improvisation in (art) research processes. Dedicated to the memory and work of Vanita Monk (1944-2024).
