Activities in early Autumn
Jatun's short film 'enerRgy' was screened at the ECOPERFORMANCE IN ARCHITECTURE seminar week (September 11th – 15th 2023), as part of the teaching and research program "Body & space morphologies, acting and the acted in a more-than-human world" at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO).
Between September 13th – 23rd, Jatun was one of the Akademie Artists in Residence at Schmiede23 - Blood, an annual media and art festival taking place since 2003 during September in Hallein, Austria. During the festival Jatun and María Angélica Contreras collaborated in the production of a new artwork, the video installation "The energy of menstruation" that was presented during the Blacksmith23 workshop show.
At the Taboo-Transgression-Transcendence in Art & Science conference (September 27th – 29th) at the Malta Society of Arts in Valletta, the Be-coming Tree facilitators (Jatun Risba, Daniele Minns, O. Pen Be) gave the talk "Be-coming Tree: queering monoculture in troubling times".
Between October 2nd – 5th, Jatun is participating at the WhatIIF? Improv / Makers festival held at Worm in Rotterdam. After the festival, Jatun will be spending some more time in Rotterdam for the production of a new collaborative performance piece (Trinity) in co. with Vanita and Johanna Monk.
